Dr Kelvin S Tsuei -BDS (Syd) GCD (Adel) MScMed (Syd)
Kelvin obtained his dental degree at the University of Sydney in 1989. Upon graduating, he served a five-year commission as a dental officer in the Australian Regular Army and was posted to the Army bases at Kapooka in Wagga and then to Holsworthy in Sydney. After five years looking after the dental health of our service men and women, Kelvin put his military uniform away in 1995 and commenced private practice in Queanbeyan, Tuggeranong, Mawson and Curtin, before acquiring his own private dental practice here in Manuka.
Kelvin understands the importance of ongoing education and has since completed a graduate certificate of dentistry through the University of Adelaide in 2000 and a Master in Medical Science (pain management) through the University of Sydney in 2006. He also attends study clubs, seminars and training courses on a regular basis.
When he’s not busy doing dentistry, Kelvin also enjoys running, photography, music, cooking and making coffee.
Dr Caroline Madsen - BDS (Adel); BMedSci (Wollongong)
Dr Caroline Madsen grew up in Wollongong, completing her Bachelor Degree in Medical Science there. Inspired by her Mum who is also a dentist, Caroline then moved to Adelaide and completed her Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery in 2006. She has since worked in private practices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Wollongong and now Canberra. Caroline is passionate about utilising the best techniques that dentistry has to offer, and strives to provide the highest level of care for her patients. She welcomes all new patients including those who are anxious and nervous. Thoroughly enjoying all areas of dentistry, Caroline particularly enjoys the restorative area of dentistry and also treating children and teaching them how to best care for their teeth for life. She regularly attends seminars and conferences to further her knowledge and expertise in various fields of dentistry. Since graduation, Caroline was successful in passing the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons Primary Examinations. Outside of dentistry, Caroline enjoys hiking, cooking, travelling and spending time with her husband, young family and friends.
Ms Kathryn Novak: Dental hygienist
Kathryn started her dental career in the 80's as a dental assistant and graduated from Gilels Plains TAFE in Adelaide as a dental hygienist in 1989. After working in a number of public and private arenas, Kathryn returned to Canberra in 2005 and is currently practising in Manuka Dental Care, as well as an orthodontic practice.
As well as providing personal dental hygiene services, Kathryn also promotes community dental hygiene through her excellent work with the Dental Hygienist Association of Australia (DHAA).
She is currently the ACT Branch President of DHAA, as well as Chair of the 2014 DHAA National Symposium 2014.
Dr Michael Back - BDS (Adel), BEng (Wollongong)
Ms Elena Hopwood: Dental hygienist
Elle was a dental assistant for a number of years in Sydney, before she moved to beautiful Ireland and obtained her degree as a dental hygienist in Cork University in the city of Cork. She went on to practise in a public orthodontic clinic in Dublin, before returning to Australia.
She has since worked in a private practice in Jindabyne, as well as for the defense dental centre at Russell, ACT. Elle is also a professional dressmaker par excellence, running a boutique business in Jindabyne, and she is a big fan of the local coffee scene here in Manuka.
